Maryland allows tinting on all windows EXCEPT the windshield (only the top 5 inches). Front side windows must transmit more than 35% visible light (VLT). Rear side windows and rear window can be any darkness. All our installs comply with Maryland law — we won't install illegal percentages.
Standard dyed or carbon film installs typically take 1.5–3 hours depending on vehicle size. Ceramic film takes slightly longer due to precision handling. Most vehicles are ready same-day.
Dyed film provides basic privacy and glare reduction. Carbon film adds better heat rejection and a matte appearance that doesn't fade. Ceramic film uses nano-ceramic particles for maximum heat (60%) and UV (99%) rejection without any color or signal interference. Ceramic is significantly more effective in Maryland summers.
Carbon and ceramic films do not interfere with any electronics. Older metallic films can cause GPS and cell signal issues — we do not install metallic films for this reason.
Window tint fully cures in 3–7 days. You may see slight haziness or small water bubbles during this period — this is normal and will disappear as the film cures. Avoid rolling windows down for the first 3 days.
