No. The Stealth Hitch is a bolt-on installation that uses existing factory holes. No permanent modifications are made to your vehicle. This protects your OEM and extended warranty coverage.
Yes — with the Combo Package. The hitch is rated for your vehicle's factory-approved towing capacity (typically 3,500–8,000 lbs depending on vehicle). The Rack Only package is for accessories only (bike racks, cargo carriers).
We temporarily remove the rear bumper fascia to access the mounting points. This is standard procedure for all Stealth Hitch installs and takes about 1 hour. Your bumper is reinstalled exactly as it came from the factory.
Most Stealth Hitch installs take 2–4 hours including bumper removal and reinstall. You can drop off in the morning and pick up the same day.
No. The receiver tube detaches and stores in your cargo area. When removed, the hitch beam sits fully behind the bumper — completely invisible. Your vehicle looks factory stock.
The Tesla Model Y is one of the easier installations in our lineup and typically does not require full bumper removal. Installation time is shorter and labor pricing reflects this.
Rack Only gives you the hidden receiver for accessories (bike racks, ski racks, cargo carriers). Combo adds the towing wiring harness, ball mount, and trailer ball — everything you need to actually tow. If in doubt, start with Combo.
