How long does a commercial vehicle wrap last?

With proper care, a professionally installed commercial vehicle wrap using 3M or Avery Dennison materials lasts 5–7 years. We back every installation with a 1-year workmanship warranty covering peeling, bubbling, and color fading.

Will a vehicle wrap damage my fleet's paint?

No. A professionally installed wrap actually protects your vehicle's original paint from UV rays, minor abrasions, and environmental exposure. When removed by a professional, the original paint is preserved underneath.

Do you offer fleet account pricing for multiple vehicles?

Yes. Capital Upfitters offers volume pricing for fleet operators, dealerships, and government agencies. Accounts with 3+ vehicles per month qualify for fleet pricing. Contact us to open a fleet account.

Can you match our brand guidelines exactly?

Absolutely. We work from your vector logo files, brand colors (Pantone or hex), and brand guidelines to produce print-accurate, consistent graphics across your entire fleet.

How long does the wrap installation take?

Most vehicle wraps take 1–3 business days depending on coverage level. Full fleet vehicles may take 2 days. Vinyl lettering and partial wraps are often same-day. We offer batch scheduling for fleet drop-offs to minimize operational downtime.

What materials do you use?

We use premium 3M and Avery Dennison cast vinyl — the industry standard for commercial vehicle wraps. These materials are rated for outdoor durability, UV resistance, and clean removal without residue.

Can I use a toolbox with a tonneau cover?

It depends on the combination. Low-profile crossover boxes work with most soft tonneau covers. DECKED drawer systems are compatible with most hard-fold and retractable covers. Let us know what you have — we'll confirm compatibility before ordering.

Related service

Will a toolbox work with my bedliner?

Yes — toolboxes install on top of your bed rails, so a spray-on bedliner underneath is no issue. In fact, we recommend getting the liner first, then the toolbox.

Related service

Do you install DECKED systems?

Yes — we're an authorized DECKED installer. DECKED drawer systems are vehicle-specific and require proper installation for the drawers to seal and slide correctly. We handle the full install.

Related service

What's the most secure toolbox option?

CamLocker and UWS boxes both use high-quality rotary locks with stainless hardware. For maximum security, add a bed-mounted deadbolt or ask us about cable lock options.

Related service

How long does spray-on bedliner installation take?

Most spray-on bedliner installations at Capital Upfitters take 2–3 hours from drop-off to pickup. We recommend scheduling a morning drop-off so your truck is ready the same afternoon.

Is Patriot Liner better than LINE-X?

Patriot Liner uses a premium polyurea formula applied at 155°F and 2,000 PSI — comparable to or better than LINE-X in terms of adhesion and durability. As an authorized dealer, we back every installation with a lifetime warranty.

How much does a spray-on bedliner cost at Capital Upfitters?

What's the difference between nerf bars and running boards?

Nerf bars are round or oval steel/aluminum tubes that run along the rocker panel. Running boards are flat, wider platforms that provide a larger step surface. Both serve the same purpose — easier entry and exit — but running boards give more standing room, while nerf bars have a more rugged appearance and offer some rocker panel protection.

Related service

Do you carry PowerStep automatic running boards?

Yes. We carry and install AMP Research PowerStep, Bestop PowerBoard, and other electric/automatic running board brands. Power steps deploy when you open the door and retract when closed, giving you a completely clean look when driving. Installed pricing is quoted per vehicle once we confirm fitment.

Related service

Will running boards fit my specific truck?

Yes. All running boards and steps we install are vehicle-specific — engineered for your exact year, make, model, and cab configuration. They use existing frame mounting points, no drilling required. Give us your truck details and we'll confirm the right fit before you book.

Related service

How long does installation take?

Most running board and nerf bar installations take 1–2 hours. Power step installs may take 2–3 hours due to wiring. All hardware is vehicle-specific, so there's no cutting or modification needed.

Do you offer detailing at your shop?

No — our detailing service is 100% mobile. Our crew comes to your home, office, or fleet yard. This keeps your schedule flexible and eliminates any need to drop off your vehicle.

How long does each package take?

Interior Basic: approximately 1–1.5 hours. Interior Complete: 2–3 hours. Exterior Basic: 1–1.5 hours. Exterior Complete: 2–2.5 hours. Full interior and exterior combos run 3–4.5 hours depending on vehicle size and condition.

Related service

Can I book interior and exterior together?

Yes — book any interior package and any exterior package together for a full detail. Contact us or note it in your quote request and we'll confirm combined pricing.

How does fleet pricing work?

Fleet accounts booking 3 or more vehicles qualify for volume pricing. We set up a recurring service schedule — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly — and come to your facility. Call us or submit a quote request with your vehicle count.

Related service

Is the ceramic coating applied by the detailing crew?

No — ceramic coating is applied by our certified Capital Upfitters installers separately from the detailing crew. The detailing package preps the surface and the coating appointment is scheduled afterward (often the same or next day). It requires the Exterior Complete package as a prerequisite.

Do I need a relay for an LED light bar?

Yes — for any high-draw LED light bar (over 50W), a proper relay and fuse setup is required. This protects your factory wiring and ensures the light gets full voltage. We include proper relay wiring on all our light bar installs.

Related service

Are LED light bars legal to use on public roads in Maryland?

Most LED light bars are DOT-legal for off-road use only when mounted on roof or bumper. Some SAE-compliant driving/fog lights are street-legal. We'll advise on compliance during the consultation and mark non-street-legal lights appropriately.

Related service

Can you wire lights to work with my factory fog light switch?

Yes — on many trucks we can integrate new LED lights to switch on with your factory fog light controls. Other setups use a clean, hidden switch panel. We'll confirm what's possible for your specific truck.

Do you do LED upgrades for commercial fleets?

Yes — fleet lighting is a specialty. We can spec and install standardized packages across multiple vehicles, maintain fleet records, and work with government procurement requirements. Call us for fleet pricing.

What is a Stealth Hitch?

A Stealth Hitch is a specialized receiver hitch designed to remain completely hidden when not in use — no visible receiver tube hanging down. They're custom-engineered per vehicle and are popular for luxury SUVs and vehicles where aesthetics matter. Parts and labor are quoted per vehicle after a fitment review.

Related service

Will a hitch installation void my warranty?

In most cases, no. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects consumers from dealers voiding warranties simply because an aftermarket part was installed. We use OEM-style installation methods that do not compromise your vehicle's frame or electrical system.

Related service

How long does hitch installation take?

Most standard hitch installations take 2–3 hours. Stealth Hitch installs may take 3–4 hours depending on vehicle complexity. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you book.

Related service

Do you install wiring harnesses for trailer lighting?

Yes. We install 4-pin and 7-pin wiring harnesses for trailer lighting. This can be done at the same time as your hitch installation. Ask about wiring when you get your quote.

Will a tonneau cover fit my truck?

Tonneau covers are available for virtually all popular truck models — F-150, Silverado, Ram, Tundra, Tacoma, and more. We carry vehicle-specific covers that use the existing stake hole mounting or clamp-on systems. No drilling required. Contact us with your year, make, model, and cab/bed configuration and we'll confirm availability.

Related service

Do tonneau covers improve gas mileage?

Yes, modestly. An open truck bed creates aerodynamic drag that a tonneau cover eliminates. Independent testing has shown improvements of 2–5% in fuel economy at highway speeds, depending on driving conditions and cover type. Hard covers generally outperform soft covers for aerodynamics.

Related service

Can I still use the full bed with a tonneau cover?

It depends on the cover type. Folding covers can be pushed fully forward for full bed access. Roll-up covers also allow full-bed use when rolled up. Retractable covers lock in any position. One-piece hard covers require removal for full access. We'll help you choose the right type for how you use your truck.

Related service

Will fender flares affect my truck's aerodynamics?

OE-style fender flares have minimal aerodynamic impact since they follow the factory body contour. Cut-out/wide-body flares have a slightly larger profile but the difference in fuel economy is negligible for most drivers.

Related service

Do grille guards affect airbag deployment?

Quality grille guards from reputable brands (Go Rhino, Ranch Hand, Westin) are engineered to not interfere with factory crash sensors or airbag deployment. We only install brands that meet or exceed these standards.

Can I add a winch to an aftermarket bumper?

Most Ranch Hand and Fab Fours front bumpers are winch-ready with a built-in receiver. WARN and Superwinch are common pairings. Ask us about the full setup when requesting a quote.
